Set up your email, once, properly.

These settings work for every mailbox hosted with easymail — Outlook, Apple Mail, Gmail app, Samsung Mail, Thunderbird, all of them. Two minutes, no callbacks.

Adding a brand-new account? Most modern apps configure themselves automatically when you enter your email address and password — our servers tell them the right settings. Only type the settings below if your app asks for them, or if you're fixing an old profile.

The only settings you need

Usernameyour full email address
Passwordyour mailbox password
Incoming mail (IMAP)easymail.co.za  port 993  SSL/TLS
Outgoing mail (SMTP)easymail.co.za  port 465  SSL/TLS
Outgoing authenticationYes — same username & password
Getting a certificate warning? ("The target principal name is incorrect" or "cannot verify server identity".) Your app is pointed at an old server name like mail.yourdomain.co.za. Open your account settings and change both the incoming and outgoing server to exactly easymail.co.za — the warning disappears immediately.

Fixing an existing Outlook profile

  1. File → Account Settings → Account Settings…
  2. Select your email address → Change (or Repair).
  3. Set incoming and outgoing server both to easymail.co.za.
  4. Incoming port 993 (SSL), outgoing port 465 (SSL), outgoing requires authentication.
  5. Done → restart Outlook.

On your phone

  1. Add account → choose IMAP (not POP, not "Exchange").
  2. Enter your full email address and password — most phones finish the setup themselves.
  3. If asked for servers: incoming easymail.co.za : 993 (SSL), outgoing easymail.co.za : 465 (SSL).
